Royal Holloway & Windsor Registry Office Wedding Photographer {Claire & James}

I always put pressure on myself each and every time that I photograph a wedding to record the bride and groom’s day, to the best of my professional ability. As I photographed the wedding of Clare and James, I had additional pressure, with the fact that not only is James’ father Steve, a good friend of mine, but he’s also a great photographer!

The wedding ceremony took place at the beautiful and historic registry office in the centre of Windsor. Steve had joked to to me on the way to the service, ‘if it’s good enough for Charles and Camilla, then it’s good enough for my son!

As the wedding party left Windsor Registry office, for the reception at the magnificent Royal Holloway (University of London), the heavens opened. In fact, the only time that the rain stopped, was during the meal and the speeches! Coming from Yorkshire, I’m used to photographing in rain!

Clare and James never once complained about the atrocious weather conditions, but simply laughed and smiled all day long. It was a fantastic day all round, and worth every minute of the 6 1/2 hour round trip for me!

I’ve attached some of my favourite photos from the day below:-

Hi Phil,
Just thought I would drop you a mail to say fantastic images of James & Claire’s wedding. An excellent job in bad conditions on the day. They will be, I am sure, justifiably pleased with these images.

Regards
Paul

Thanks for that Paul. You’re right about the weather – it was atrocious! That, however, didn’t stop James and Clare from having the time of their lives! Happy and stress-free bride and groom = great shots!

Paul

I love it when brides and grooms aren’t afraid of a little bit of weather. Beautiful images! I especially love the one of them kissing with the statue behind them.

Cheers from Vancouver, Canada! :)

It is so true, you have to put pressure on yourself, the bride and groom only gets married once so it important to give them the best to your ability. Fantastic work Phil :-)
