Doncaster Portrait Photographer {Newy and Friends}

After returning from their first summer holiday together, and before they all head off to uni, college and jobs, Chloe and her friends wanted to capture their time together with a photo-shoot. It was refreshing to photograph a group of friends away from the normal prom shoots. As a reminder of the good times they’d…

Catterick Village Wedding Photography – {Clare & Peter}

Clare and Peter were recently married in Clare’s home town of Catterick, followed by a stunning reception at the nearby family farm. Every last thing had been planned in the finest detail. Nothing had been left to chance – the result was a stunning wedding, from start to finish. Clare’s dress was beauty personified! It…

We are delighted with the photos Phil, thank you so much! It meant a lot having a photographer who listened carefully to what we felt was important, like capturing and including the house and gardens in all their glory and putting your fantastic vintage-look on a few of them. You were an absolute pleasure to have around, professional yet really fun and encouraging and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to take our photos. Hope you enjoyed it and hope we can keep in touch!

Hi Clare. SO glad that you love the images. It really was a gorgeous and perfect day in every way. Thank you for asking me to capture it for you! Hop to capture any further little ‘Edworthys’! :-)

The Mansion, Rounday Park, Leeds Wedding Photographer – {Kate & Gavin}

Situated at the edge of Roundhay Park, on the outskirts of Leeds, is the magnificent ‘Mansion‘. With stunning architectural details, The Mansion affords superb views of the 700 acres of sprawling landscaped Yorkshire parkland, lakes and woodland. Kate and Gavin were a couple who came to me early in their engagement, over a year before…

WOW is all I can say again!!!! Beautiful beautiful set of images.

Gav - August 6, 2010 - 9:25 pm

Hi Phil love the pictures, even if i do say so myself! I’m still curious as to how you managed to throw a stone at that swan at the same time as taking our picture? Whatever your secret is it was worth it to get the Queens bird mid flight! Thanks again for making Myself and Kate so comfortable, it was just like having another friend at the wedding. Gav.

Phil Shillitoe - August 25, 2010 - 10:18 pm

Hey Gav, I’d had a word with Liz, who sent me her favourite swan down just for the two of you! Lol joking aside, as I said in the blog post, it really was one of my favourite weddings ever! We’ll have to meet up soon and go over yr album choices over a glass of wine or 2!!

Phil Shillitoe - August 25, 2010 - 10:20 pm

Thanks for the compliments Kathryn :-)

Doncaster Racecourse Wedding Photography {Donna & Adam}

It’s a great feeling when clients love your work, and put their total trust in you – as a result, Donna & Adam gave me free rein over how I photographed their wedding day – they simply let me capture their day in my own style. I had actually met them (and photographed them!) at…

Thanks Phil, I absolutely love the photos!

The single biggest worry I had about the wedding was not whether the groom would turn up or if the weather would be nice, it was the photos as these are the lasting memory of any ones big day.

As Phil has already mentioned he had already captured the big days of some of Adams family so I knew he was up to the job, but me and Adam aren’t the most photogenic people. Adam has a tendency to pull his infamous funeral face and I always manage to blink or pull a goofy smile, so Phil definitely had his work cut out

I had such a fun time especially with the lift closing every time you went to take a photo it made my day and I have some fantastic memories to boot.

Hi Donna, THANK-YOU so much for those lovely comments. It was an absolute pleasure; as it has always been photographing the various weddings connected with you and Adam’s family! PS Not photogenic?? Just have another look at the photos – you look simply stunning, as everybody has said on Facebook!!!! See you soon, Phil :-)
