Baby Rory arrived just in the nick of time for Christmas! After plenty of early tears during his maiden photo shoot, he suddenly dropped off to sleep….and what better place for a new born to have an afternoon siesta, but in the arms of Father Christmas!

Scarlett & her loveable Labradoodle Murphy, were the stars of my recent photo shoot at Clumber Park. Scarlett took no prompting or posing- she is an absolute natural model – at just 5 years old! Throw in some late afternoon sunshine, the stunning backdrop of Clumber Park, gorgeous autumnal colours, and you get fabulous photos!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing baby Harry & his mum at their home at RAF Waddington, just outside Lincoln. Melissa is a Sergeant within the RAF, and appropriately, the photo shoot took place on Remembrance day; just after 11am on 11/11/11. Harry was just 6 weeks old – he’s absolutely tiny! I must have the Midas touch at the moment, as he only cried for about 10 seconds during the entire shoot

I’ve chosen a small selection of photos from baby Eliza’s recent photo shoot. She is just sooo damn cute!!! Eliza was full of smiles & loved every minute of her maiden model shoot! She didn’t cry once, and was so chilled, that she even managed to sneak in a little baby snooze half way through the session! The session took place at my studio in Hatfield, near Doncaster. I have the best job in the world – who says don’t work with children or animals?!

Fun in The Park! { Jade & Family }

10 children, 6 adults and a Pug dog! These were my clients this Sunday at Roundhay Park Leeds. Whoever says never work with children or animals has certainly never met Jade’s family or their pet Pug- they were so well behaved and just plain easy to photograph! Jade had contacted me in the week before the photo shoot, and asked if I could photograph her family whilst she was over from Hong Kong. Jade specifically wanted photos of her family that had an edge to them; something a little different. The kids lined up as the usual suspects impersonating their best gangster look, and the next minute they were jumping about, and just having fun! As an added bonus, the sun even came out to play!

Introducing {Maya}

I had a maternity photo shoot booked in on January 26th. My car was packed, and i was ready to head down to Lincoln to photograph Michelle. Little did we know that baby Maya had other plans! I received a text just as i was about to set off to say that Michelle had to go into hospital – so the shoot was off! On a serious note, Michelle had been suffering from intolerable headaches and her husband John, was understandably beside himself with worry. However, at 0725 hours on February 2nd, tiny gorgeous Maya appeared! To say that she is a tiny baby, is an understatement – and so cute! I headed down to Lincoln to photograph Maya along with Michelle & John. Although she is now over 1 week old, she should still be warm and cosy inside Michelle for another 2 or 3 weeks yet!

I had the pleasure of photographing Michelle & John’s wedding at Aston Hall back in the winter of 2009 at Aston Hall, Sheffield – I cant wait to photograph little Maya for years to come!

26 years on {The Cooper Family!}

July 1985 saw me wave good bye to my old primary school, and my favourite teacher; Mrs Cooper! 26 years later on, I received a telephone call out of the blue, asking if I’d do a family portrait session in Wadworth, near Doncaster. The lady on the other end of the telephone, was Mrs Cooper! I thought I might get a telling off, as when I was in her class I was given the responsibility of feeding, cleaning and generally looking after the class gold fish – my job lasted about 3 days, as somehow they all died on me – I was then demoted to feeding the stick insects once a week!

Back to the present and 2011 – the family portrait session helped celebrate Hazel & Eddie’s recent 50th year wedding anniversary – an amazing achievement!! The shoot covered 11 people in total – Mrs Cooper ( I can know call her Hazel! ) and her Eddie, their two children Nicky & Mark, respective husband and wife and 5 grand children. I thought I’d have my hands full, but it was a breeze! As you can see from the photos below, everyone was so happy and relaxed – it made my job easy!

9 months on! {Baby Dylan}

Baby Dylan recently past the grand old age of 9 months old and already he was having his 3rd photo shoot! For those who regularly read my photography blog, you’ll remember that Dylan had a bit of a foot fetish when he was young; that now seems to have developed into a radiator fetish! Now that he can crawl at the speed of Linford Cristie, the radiators need to be off; it’s a good job the -10C days of December are long gone!

In between grabbing the nearest radiator, I grabbed the photographs of the baby bell below!:-

The baby photos were taken on the Nikon D700 and 85mm G 1.4 using available light only.

Oscar, Elsie & Jack – Triple Trouble!

Oscar and Elsie arrived in this world just 11 weeks ago! I’m not particularly broody, but how can these photos not make you broody; the babies are just adorable!! The twins were joined on their maiden photo shoot by their elder (but equally cute!) cousin Jack. There were tears, tantrums, smiles and lots of sleep, but I loved every minute of it!

Kryon – Possibly The Happiest Little Boy In The World?!

Kyron is coming up 2 years old, and just loved being photographed! Whether he was playing hide n seek with me, running around like a little mad man, or happily playing in the autumn leaves. it was one of the most pleasurable shoots that I have ever had the pleasure of photographing!!The family portrait shoot, took place at one of my favourite wedding venues, Roundhay Park, near to The Mansion.
