Andrea & Scott {Engaged}

On average, clients tend to book me for their wedding photography around 6-12 months before their wedding date. Andrea & Scott, however, booked me over 2 years ago, so it was great to photograph them both together at long last for their pre-wedding shoot!

The location for the session meant a lot to Scott in particular, as it was where his late beloved grandad lived, just outside Doncaster in Owston Ferry. Andrea was so nervous about the shoot, but after a couple of minutes she was more than fine, and started to dare i say it, ‘love’ the camera!

Some of my favorite photographs from their pre wedding session can be seen below :-

In less than 6 weeks, I’ll be photographing Andrea & Scott again at their autumnal wedding at one of Doncaster’s premier wedding venues, Mount Pleasant Hotel

Jo + Stu {Engaged)

Jo & Stu tie the knot on the edge of beautiful Ullswater in the Lake District next April at the Sharrow Bay Hotel. For regular readers of my blog, you’ll remember the beautiful wedding of Emma & Spike, at the Quorn Grange Hotel, down in Leicester. The best man on that day was Stu, and Jo was a bridesmaid! I recently photographed the 2 of them for their pre wedding engagement photo shoot. The session took place at one of my favourite locations in Yorkshire; Roundhay park on the edge of leeds.

Sophie + Steve {Engaged }

Although Sophie & Steve are engaged, they’ll actually be married in just 2 days time!! On Thursday, Sophie will walk down the (extremely long!) aisle of the beautiful Selby Abbey, in North Yorkshire.

The location of Sophie & Steve’s pre wedding photo shoot was high above Sheffield, overlooking the city. It has a very special place in their hearts – the bench pictured within the photographs was the exact bench that Steve popped the question on Xmas day, and Sophie said ‘ I will!!’

Also featured within the engagement photographs is the exact car that the couple will depart from Selby Abbey in – their very own vintage Triumph Toldeo!

I hope you enjoy the selection of photos that i have chosen for the shoot below:-

{introducing} Poppy Sue

On mid-summer nights solstice, little Poppy Sue arrived prematurely on this planet! To celebrate her 1 month ‘birthday’ (which was actually her due date!), Natalie & Peter got in touch with me to photograph their tiny bundle of joy. It was over 18 months since I last saw Natalie & Peter – when I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding day in Northumberland.

I’ll be recording Poppy over her first year, with 2 further photo sessions booked in; one when she is 6 months old, and one on her first birthday! I normally have to contend with tearful/screaming babies, ‘Little Wood’ on the other hand slept for the entire session!

A few of my favourite photos from Poppy’s baby shoot can be seen below :-

Awesome baby photography! Just love them!

Laura + Billy {Engaged}

A gorgeous poppy field on the outskirts of Doncaster was the location for Laura & Billy’s engagement photo shoot. It had been raining on and off all day long, and as I drove to meet them, the grey clouds overhead looked a little ominous! I needn’t have worried though, the rain clouds drifted on by leaving the three of us bone dry, and even more importantly time to grab some great photos!

In a few weeks time, Laura & Billy will marry at theWest Retford Hotel, with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony planned. Fingers crossed that those rain clouds stay well away!

I’ve chosen a few of my favourite photos from the shoot below:-
