Andrea & Scott {Engaged}

On average, clients tend to book me for their wedding photography around 6-12 months before their wedding date. Andrea & Scott, however, booked me over 2 years ago, so it was great to photograph them both together at long last for their pre-wedding shoot! The location for the session meant a lot to Scott in…

Jo + Stu {Engaged)

Jo & Stu tie the knot on the edge of beautiful Ullswater in the Lake District next April at the Sharrow Bay Hotel. For regular readers of my blog, you’ll remember the beautiful wedding of Emma & Spike, at the Quorn Grange Hotel, down in Leicester. The best man on that day was Stu, and…

Laura + Billy {Engaged}

A gorgeous poppy field on the outskirts of Doncaster was the location for Laura & Billy’s engagement photo shoot. It had been raining on and off all day long, and as I drove to meet them, the grey clouds overhead looked a little ominous! I needn’t have worried though, the rain clouds drifted on by…

Kelly & Terry {Engaged!}

I’ve known Kelly for a number of years now, and it was a real pleasure when she phoned me last year (or rather texted me!) and asked if I would photograph her upcoming wedding to her fiance Terry at the Crown Hotel in Bawtry. Their pre wedding engagement photo shoot took place just down the…

Doncaster Engagement & Wedding Photography { Johanna & Nigel }

I enjoy meeting couples before the big day and we always have a great time during the informal pre wedding shoots – Nigel and Johanna’s was no exception.  The photo session took place in the idyllic hamlet of Wiseton, just outside Bawtry., Doncaster  Due to thick snow and fog I had to abandon my car and having…

Wow! What a day. Thankyou for digging your way out and taking these fantastic pics. We had a great time and appologise for making you push the car out of the snow and jumping in whilst it was still moving!

Hi Johanna. At least come July, we’ll be baking in a beautiful summer (fingers crossed!) instead of what feels like being in the middle of the ice Age!! We’ll reproduce the engagement shoot on the day in exactly the same location as this. I have some funky ideas which i’ll tell you about when me meet up again! Phil :-)

Paul - May 1, 2010 - 3:31 pm

Hi Phil,

Met with Nigel & Johanna this afternoon to plan their wedding service. I tried hard to put them off using you as their wedding photographer but for some strange reason they reckon you’re a really great guy! Can’t think why!

Best wishes, Paul

Hahaha!!! I knew where the wedding reception was – a beautiful venue over the border in Notts. It had slipped my mind, however, that prior to this, they’d have to rough it with yourself during the ceremony in Hatfield!!! Joking aside, they’re a fantastic couple – and they are lucky enough to have the top vicar to town!!!! Phil :-)
