Mount Pleasant Hotel Doncaster Wedding Photographer {Laura & Liam}

Laura & Liam recently tied the knot at Arksey Church, Doncaster. This was followed by a beautiful reception at the Mount Pleasant Hotel – one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph in the Doncaster area. I recently blogged about Laura & Liam’s pre-wedding shoot, which took place on a remote path towards the rear of the Mount Pleasant estate. Laura and Liam were such a pleasure to work with. With the exception of a hand full of group shots, they let me record and photograph their wedding day carte blanche, which enables me to get the best possible wedding photography for my clients.

Mount Pleasant Wedding Photography { Gemma & Adam }

Snow, snow and more snow formed the backdrop to Gemma and Adam’s wedding reception which I photographed at Mount Pleasant, Doncaster . The wedding ceremony took place at one of my favourite churches, St Lawrence’s Church, Hatfield, Doncaster. Architecturally the church is impressive and provided a fantastic setting for their wedding photography. The church also has an interesting history filled with intrigue, which added to the atmosphere of the big day .

The Reverend Paul Wilson carried out the wedding service. I have always found his services to be full of humour and love and this occasion was no exception, he made the ceremony personal and memorable for the bride and groom. Paul is also a great photographer in his own right.

As Gemma & Adam walked down the aisle as husband and wife, they were met with one of the heaviest blizzards in living memory, as they left the church! The reception was held at the Mount Pleasant Hotel, a journey which ordinarily takes only 10 minutes, took 45 minutes due to the weather. On arrival at Mount Pleasant everyone was served wine and cocktails which soon warmed up the wedding party!

Gemma & Adam were fantastic clients to work with, and both looked truly beautiful throughout the day. Thank you for letting me photograph and capture your big day, a short collection of my favourite photos can be found below.

Mount Pleasant Hotel in Doncaster is one of the most popular wedding venues in South Yorkshire. The building and grounds are beautiful, and it is always a pleasure to photograph weddings there. I returned fresh and my batteries recharged from a fantastic break over on the West Coast of America. Vicki had Ian had booked me back in 2008 to be their wedding photographer. They are such a cool couple, who love partying and poker! From the moment arrived at Mount Pleasant, the sun was blazing – it felt like I was still in California, rather than Doncaster! The entire day was laid back, which suited the Vicki and Ian down to the ground. They had planned every last detail of the wedding exactly how they wanted it. Guests were entertained by Poker and Black Jack and Roulette in between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. Ian even gave me some complimentary chips, which I quickly squandered! It was a real pleasure to work for the couple as their wedding photographer. A selection of my favourite photos of the day can be seen below.
