Annoushka & Chris {Married!}

I jumped in my car, ready to head south to the Priest House Hotel in Donington. As I turned the ignition key on my car, the temperature said -10C! Luckily, most of the snow from the previous week had vanished, otherwise, a two hour journey would have taken 6 hours, and I’d have needed a JCB to get me out of my street! Despite the freezing and rather murky weather, I had a fantastic time photographing the gorgeous wedding of Annoushka and Chris. The bride and groom’s pre- wedding shoot a couple of months back, was also photographed at The Priest House. Annoushka and Chris are such a warm and happy go lucky couple. We re-enacted some of the pre shoot photos with the chalk board during the wedding reception in the photo booth. You only have to count the amount of smiles and laughs in the wedding photos below to see what a perfect match Annoushka and Chris are!

I had the honour of covering Vicky and Andy’s wedding back in 2007 at Ouston Hall, Doncaster. A year later, blond haired blue eyed baby Oliver arrived and I got some great photos of the family together. Vicky recently got in touch with me, to see if i could photograph the three of them, along with her sister’s family. The autumnal back drop of Cusworth Hall was the location for the family portrait session. Everyone had loads of fun, including young Oliver…except when he saw that the camera was focusing on him, and repeatedly scowled at me!. Some of my favourite photos from the family session are below:-

Dower House Hotel, Knaresborough Wedding Photographer {Julia & Chris}

Julia & Chris live down under in Australia, but flew thousands of miles to North Yorkshire for their wedding day! The location of their beautiful wedding was The Dower House Hotel between Knaresborough and Harrogatge, North Yorkshire. A few years earlier, Julia & Chris worked at the Dower House, fell madly in love, and the rest – as they say – is history!

Chris is from the local area, whilst Julia is from Australia………which is where they both now live! The wedding day was a very intimate affair, with only close friends and relatives (form Yorkshire and Down Under!) attending the wedding service. When the couple booked me as their wedding photographer, all of the correspondence was via good old email. The first time that I met Julia and Chris was just before they said ‘I do’ to one another! The sun shone all day long, and as you can see from the photographs below, it was a truly beautiful day for everybody concerned!

Doncaster Engagement & Wedding Photography { Johanna & Nigel }

I enjoy meeting couples before the big day and we always have a great time during the informal pre wedding shoots – Nigel and Johanna’s was no exception. The photo session took place in the idyllic hamlet of Wiseton, just outside Bawtry., Doncaster Due to thick snow and fog I had to abandon my car and having become stranded, I was rescued by the lovely couple! The winter weather really made these images look special. I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding day in July, which will provide a spectacular contrast between these photos. I can’t wait!
