Marie & Bryn {Married!}

The stunning Linden Hall in Northumberland was the venue for my final winter wedding of 2010. The wedding took place between Christmas and New Yea, when I had the pleasure of photographing Marie & Bryn’s big day. Linden Hall is situated north of Newcastle, just outside Jesmond. Although the happy couple live down in Barnsley,…

Phil, the photos are out of this world. They are Fantastic. Thank you for travelling all the way to Northumberland to be part of our day. To be honest, half of the pictures which you took, I did not see you do. That is how discrete you are. Fantastic and thanks again. Marie & Bryn. xxxx

Thank you; I loved every minute of it!! Bet you wish you could re-live it all over again!! See you both soon – Phil :-)

Great set of photos Phil!! You really captured the ambiance of the venue, the joy of the couple, and the emotion of Marie & Bryn’s wedding day. :-)

Gyp in the Snow!

I’m stranded at home!! The snow is 20″ deep and is literally up to the top of my tyres on my car. I had my two adorable dogs, gyp and hobo out in the snow this morning, so thought I’d grab a few shots and share them with you! Hobo is a bit camera shy…

Doncaster Engagement & Wedding Photography { Johanna & Nigel }

I enjoy meeting couples before the big day and we always have a great time during the informal pre wedding shoots – Nigel and Johanna’s was no exception.  The photo session took place in the idyllic hamlet of Wiseton, just outside Bawtry., Doncaster  Due to thick snow and fog I had to abandon my car and having…

Wow! What a day. Thankyou for digging your way out and taking these fantastic pics. We had a great time and appologise for making you push the car out of the snow and jumping in whilst it was still moving!

Phil Shillitoe - February 13, 2010 - 3:58 pm

Hi Johanna. At least come July, we’ll be baking in a beautiful summer (fingers crossed!) instead of what feels like being in the middle of the ice Age!! We’ll reproduce the engagement shoot on the day in exactly the same location as this. I have some funky ideas which i’ll tell you about when me meet up again! Phil :-)

Paul - May 1, 2010 - 3:31 pm

Hi Phil,

Met with Nigel & Johanna this afternoon to plan their wedding service. I tried hard to put them off using you as their wedding photographer but for some strange reason they reckon you’re a really great guy! Can’t think why!

Best wishes, Paul

Hahaha!!! I knew where the wedding reception was – a beautiful venue over the border in Notts. It had slipped my mind, however, that prior to this, they’d have to rough it with yourself during the ceremony in Hatfield!!! Joking aside, they’re a fantastic couple – and they are lucky enough to have the top vicar to town!!!! Phil :-)

Mount Pleasant Wedding Photography { Gemma & Adam }

Snow, snow and more snow formed the backdrop to Gemma and Adam’s wedding reception which I photographed at Mount Pleasant, Doncaster .   The wedding ceremony took place at one of my favourite churches,  St Lawrence’s Church, Hatfield, Doncaster. Architecturally the church is impressive and provided a fantastic setting for their wedding photography.  The church also has an interesting  history filled with intrigue, which…
