Lauren & Ben {Married}

Every once in while, a wedding comes along, and everything is just incredible to photograph! Lauren & Ben’s beautiful wedding at Aston Hall in Sheffield was certainly such an occasion! From the moment that I pulled back my curtains early in the morning and saw the gorgeous sunshine, viewing Lauren’s vintage wedding dress, the bespoke handmade stationary the couple had ordered, through to the beautiful location of Aston Hall itself, and the stunning evening sunset, everything was just right.

I just loved every second of being with Lauren & Ben and photographing them. The ‘posed’ images of the couple took just ten minutes – just the way, Lauren & Ben (and myself!) wanted it to be!

Amy & Ian {Engaged}

Is it just me, or has it been the longest winter ever?! It’s only 11 weeks until I photograph the wedding of Amy & Ian, so we took advantage of the recent sunshine & headed down to Clumber Park for their engagement photo shoot. It was actually the first time that I had met Amy & Ian! I’d been recommended to them, and the booking was done over the internet and telephone. As you can see from the photos, the session was relaxed, fun and as un-posed as possible. Pre-wedding shoots helps clients get used to my style, especially if I haven’t worked with them before. Amy was telling me that she always looks terrible in photographs – the engagement images below clearly dispel that myth – they both look amazing!!

The majority of the pre-wedding shoot was carried out in the beautiful late evening sunshine. Shooting into the sun, using my favourite 85mm lens wide open gives the beautiful vintage feel to the photos.

Cherish The Dress Doncaster Wedding Photography {Johanna & Nigel}

When Johanna ran out during the speeches of her wedding reception, I presumed that it was just emotions……little were we all to know, that she would spend the evening reception of her wedding day in hospital. A nightmare that all brides cant even start to imagine. Luckily, Johanna made a full recover, and they were able to fly off on honeymoon a couple of days later! I arranged a Cherish The Dress session to complete their wedding photography, a few weeks after their return from honeymoon. The location for the post wedding session, was the picturesque hamlet of Wiseton, a few miles outside Bawtry, Doncaster. I had been the wedding photographer a couple of months earlier at Johanna & Nigel’s big day, and despite the unforeseen problems mentioned on the day, Johanna and Nigel were an absolute pleasure to work with. Oulton Hall Leeds Wedding photography { Sarah & Danny }

I was lucky enough to photography the enchanting setting of Oulton Hall, on the outskirts of Leeds. Oulton Hall was the venue for the beautiful wedding of Sarah & Danny. Sarah looked exquisite in her dress, whilst Danny was dapper personified. The day had a real 1930s Hollywood movie look to it. Light levels within Oulton Hall at this time of year, as is the case in venues across the country, are very low. By searching out the best quality light, and combining the outstanding Nikon D3 with fast primes lenses such as the 50mm and 85mm 1.4, I was able to capture the ambiance and beauty of the venue and the bride and groom.

Aston Hall Sheffield Wedding Photographer { Natalie & Ryan }

Nat & Ryan are a couple with a difference, who wanted a wedding with a difference and that’s exactly what they got at the beautiful venue of Aston Hall, on the outskirts of Sheffield

Aston Hall is a perfect wedding location, the staff are so friendly, whilst the building and it’s grounds offer so many varied options for the photographer. From Nat’s goooorgeous vintage white/pink dress, through to an ice cream van which arrived delivering deserts, the wedding was exactly what the couple planned and hoped for. I was honoured to be asked to be one of the two witnesses during the intimate ceremony. As the guests patiently waited outside, I captured the moment as Miss Wood said ‘I do’ to Mr Billau!

Nat & Ryan requested just three group shots, with a combination of natural and artistically posed funky photographs of my clients, I was able to capture the essence of the day in their wedding photography. Hopefully you agree!
